This piece was my first serious attempt at animation through the class Intro to Animation with Professor Sarah Nesbitt. It is a rotoscope animation which is when you animate by drawing over video footage. This video came from me filming my friend Anna hula hooping on Belle Isle Beach in Detroit. I’m extremely grateful for Professor Nesbitt making animation feel like something doable when I have been extremely intimidated by it in the past.
